Here's a sneak peek at some of my works on display at this years New Zealand Art Show running in Wellington from the 2nd to the 4th of June.
As a jumping off point I used the events from last year when Tāme Iti corrected his name on a painting hanging in the QT hotel. These work cover themes such as owning your mistakes, finding common ground, taking opportunities and sleepless nights. It’s been a cathartic experience that I’m hoping people will find interesting.
If you'd like to read more about the background this article by Alison Mau gives a good overview.
